ALLEGRI STAYS

The current AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri will remain as the manager of the team at least till the end of the season according to the AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani. AC Milan have been struggling a lot in all competitions this season. However, the manager Massimiliano Allegri has not been entirely at fault because he has lost a number of crucial players from last season. One of the most important has been the striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but fans have been calling for the dismissal of the manager following a poor run of results that left the club closer to the relegation zone until recently.

Following the 1-0 win over Juventus recently, AC Milan have moved to the 10th position in the table. There still remains a long way to go for the club before they can challenge for the top three spots in the Italian Serie A table. However, Massimiliano Allegri will remain as the manager of the team at least till the end of the season. There have been a lot of rumours that AC Milan are extremely keen on bringing in the former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, who is currently on sabbatical till the end of the season. Milan have also recently qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

“I’ve always thought that he had the situation in hand. He’s had two great years, winning the Scudetto, then second place, the Supercoppa and a Champions League quarter-final place. I have always been against changing coaches in the middle of a season. I’m committed to Allegri. He has the situation under control and I will defend him with all the energy I have,” said Adriano Galliani in a recent interview. He also quashed rumours that the striker Alexandre Pato was to leave the club in January.
