During the previous season of the Premier League, Norwich City was able to compete in the top tier English football competition but were relegated after finishing in the 19th spot and now Norwich City have taken a step back to the English League Championship.

After getting relegated, one of the initial objectives that Norwich City had was to snatch top position in the English League Championship and earn their promotion once again to the Premier League but this objective has been harder to accomplish than originally expected.

Norwich City has snatched the 10th spot of the English League Championship with 60 points from 41 matches and even though they still have a chance to secure a play-off promotion spot to the Premier League, it appears like it’s not going to happen as Norwich City has to play against clubs that have been doing fairly impressively in the season.

The opportunity of Norwich City to being able to earn a promotion spot to the English Premier League is still a realistic but a very difficult one to accomplish and especially for a club that has recently been experiencing a number of important changes including changing the head coach and the Sporting Director just to name a few of the more renowned switches.

Alan Irvine is the interim manager of Norwich City who still remain in charge of Norwich City until the end of the current season as he replaced Alex Neil on March 10 of 2017. Continue reading 'Norwich City is experiencing a number of changes which might hamper them'»

Curtis’ name is associated with Swansea for four and a half decades and in the past, it’s been said by the Swans’ bigwigs that the Welshman can remain with the club for as long as he wants to.

Norwich City’s disappointing run continued, but in the worst possible manner, after a 5-0 defeat against Brighton meant that the team have now slipped away from the top places in the Championship table.

Norwich have been one of the early pacesetters, but their form has dropped in the last couple of weeks. It presents a major problem for manager Alex Neil, who appeared extremely confident about promotion only a few weeks ago. After their recent relegation from the Premier League, the parachute payments have helped with the club strength quite significantly in almost all areas of the pitch.

After having suffered only one defeat since August, the team have now failed to win in the last four games of all competitions. Manager Neil will probably remember the recent loss against Brighton more than the three other games. He has branded the defeat as the worst in his career. The young manager will know how to find a way to arrest the slide, or face the risk of dropping out of the play-offs altogether. Alex Neil Wants Consistent Performances from Kyle Lafferty

Norwich City have been quite open about the search for a new forward and this has put the future of striker Kyle Lafferty in question.

When asked if the striker was a potential candidate to leave in the summer transfer window, manager Alex Neil claimed that Lafferty had to be more consistent in his performances in order to have a future at Carrow Road. This comes as a direct hint that the club may be prepared to sell him in the last few days of the transfer window. Lafferty spent the last season on loan at Birmingham City.

The player, however, has struggled to establish himself in the last few seasons. Since the 2014-15 campaign, Lafferty has played in three different leagues for three different times. However, he has managed a grand total of 44 games with a return of just five goals. It is seriously starting to threaten his career at the top level. There is a danger of Lafferty being deemed as not being good enough even for the Scottish Premier League. Still just 28 years old, the striker has made 52 appearances for Northern Ireland since his debut in 2006. However, his career has been on a downward spiral for the last few years ever since he decided to leave Rangers.

There have been some strong reports over the weekend that Norwich City have finally won the race to sign Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

One of the best forwards in the Championship, the striker has been rated at around £ 12 million and probably represents a great bet from Fulham to get themselves back into the Premier League at the first attempt. In the past, McCormack has scored in numerous goals in the Championship even when his team has struggled for consistent form. He has played for the likes of Blackburn and Fulham, but has failed to get promoted with both clubs.

Even though striker Wes Hoolahan scored twice during the weekend’s friendly game against Hannover, it is clear that Norwich need extra strikeforce in order to overcome their disappointing Premier League outing in the previous season. Scoring goals was a major problem for Alex Neil’s team, who were relegated in the last few weeks of the season. Signing McCormack would smash Norwich City’s transfer record by a significant margin. Neil preferred to keep the cards close to his chest while talking about the ongoing negotiations. However, inside sources revealed that the manager is now extremely confident of landing McCormack before the start of the new campaign.
