VIDIC RETURNS TO TRAINING

VIDIC RETURNS TO TRAINING

The captain of the Manchester United, Nemanja Vidic, took part in the full training session on 24th July, which is a positive sign for the club. Vidic had injured his knee while playing in a match against Basel in the Premier League last season. Since then, he hasn’t played any match for Manchester. Vidic was running well in the training session and he looked in no trouble.

However, the manager of Manchester, Sir Alex Ferguson, has said that Vidic’s fitness would be analyzed next week and then any decision would be taken about his return. He said that Vidic would return in the team only when he would get 100% fit. As per Ferguson, a player should not make a come back when he is 75-80% fit. Such players tend to discover their injury again. So, a player should come back only after regaining the full fitness. He said that Vidic is a vital player of the club and the club is not going to take any risk with the fitness of its captain.

However, Steve said that Vidic is recovering well and he would definitely be fit for the Scandinavian tour. On that tour, Manchester has to play against Barcelona and Valerenga. According to Steve, if Vidic gets fit on time, it would be very nice for the team. But, at the same time, he said that if Vidic doesn’t get 100% fit before the first match, Manchester has very talented reserve players, who can fill his spot.

Apart from Vidic, Manchester has also been struggling with the injuries of some other players. Jonny Evans and Darren Fletcher are also not 100% fit. But, Steve is pretty hopeful of the team’s chances in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, captain Vidic himself has said that his knee is getting better day by day and hopefully, he would be fit to play in the opening match.
