New focus on the Anglo-Welsh Cup

The Anglo Welsh Cup, which will be part of the Premier League, will commence on 3rd November this year. The opening match will be hosted by the Worcester Warriors. Their opponents will be the Sale Sharks who would be their visitors at the Sixways stadium where the match would be held.

The pools and teams that comprise them have already been decided upon. The Warriors would be facing teams like Scarlets, Saracens, and Northampton Saints. On the second day of the competition the Leicester Tigers who are holders of the cup, would be facing Gloucester Rugby at the Welford Road stadium.

BT Sport will be the main broadcaster of the games and they will broadcast two matches live for every round that will be held during the Anglo-Welsh Cup tournament. They will also showcase the game that is scheduled between Saracens and Harlequins which will be shown on November 5th. The semi finals will take place in the consequent year, March 10th to 12th being the weekend after which the finals will take place in the same month.

As the summer respite continues the fans gear up for the upcoming excitement in the forthcoming months. There are different tournaments that would be showcased in the Premiership Rugby league that is coming up. The fixtures for 2017-2018 season were announced by the beginning of summer. At the time of the announcements it was mentioned that there would be a double header played between teams like Harlequins, London Irish, Northampton and Saracens. The Exeter teams were the champions last time and they would defend their title against Gloucester. With such exciting games lined up, the fans look forward to an exciting end to the year and a beginning of the new year that will showcase the champions who would take away most accolades for Premier Rugby tournament season for 2017-18.
