The Norwich city manager Chris Hughton has said that he expects the Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas to be successful in the future, and has said that the club should be giving the Portuguese more time than his former club Chelsea. The Portuguese manager was recently brought to the Premier league by Chelsea last season. He did not have the best of starts to the life in English football after he was sacked less than a few months in charge of Chelsea. He was accused of trying to change things too rapidly at the club, while many criticised his man management skills as well.

It has been many months since Andre Villas-Boas last tasted success in the Premier league. He was expected to be a major arrival at the club in the summer, but he has started the new Premier league season with three consecutive matches without any victory. Tottenham’s latest disappointment came in the 1-1 draw with Norwich during the weekend. This fixture was a source of merry for the Norwich fans. Chris Hughton did an excellent job with Birmingham last season, while he has been doing extremely brilliant task this time around as well.

“I’m sure he will be very successful. He’s a very good manager but when you are at a club like Tottenham, expectations are always high. I took over from a very successful manager after three very good years but you have to try to instill something different. Either a different voice or playing style. I’ve tried to improve the squad without taking away all the good things of the last few seasons,” said the Norwich manager Hughton in a recent interview. He is also said that Tottenham would struggle a little due to the loss of players like Luka Modric, who have been extremely influential in the last few seasons.
